Each room has been individually designed and decorated by the stylish wand of Liz Biden. Colourful and eclectic pieces juxtapose the modern, industrial architecture. The one-bedroom penthouse is the jewel in The Royal Portfolio’s crown located on the top floor of The Silo Hotel facing Table Mountain with triple aspect views of Cape Town. There is a cinema room and a spa treatment room and the main bedroom has two walk in wardrobes and two marble bathrooms. Includes two 24m2 (258ft²) private balconies and can be converted into a two-bedroom penthouse.

The two-bedroom, triple aspect Royal Suites face the Atlantic Ocean, Robben Island and the distant mountains. Each Royal Suite is 132m2 (1421ft²) in size and each has two bedrooms, a large living and dining area and a generous balcony.

Family Suite

The two-bedroom Family Suites are situated on the 7th floor with views over the old harbour and out to the distant mountains or over the V&A Waterfront and Signal Hill. Family Suites range from 111m2 (1195ft²) to 128m2 (1378ft²) including a balcony. They are on two levels and have two bedrooms upstairs, one of which is a smaller kids’ bedroom.

Deluxe Superior Suite

The Deluxe Superior Suites are situated across the 8th, 9th and 10th floors with spectacular 5.5m (18ft) high pillowed glass windows showcasing the natural wonder of Cape Town. They range in size from 60m2 (646ft²) to 67m2 (721ft²) including a balcony and sitting area.

Superior Suite

The Superior Suites are situated across the 6th and 7th floors with either mountain or harbour views. These suites have an upstairs and a downstairs and vary between 76m2 (818ft²) and 88m2 (947ft²) including a small balcony. Like your own little luxury apartment in Cape Town.

Each of our entry level rooms adopts a unique and exciting colour scheme and collection of contemporary African art. Each room has a private balcony and a large en-suite bathroom.

Dining in The Granary Café is a unique experience. From a delicious Eggs Benedict to smoked salmon on rye toast, and avocado on seeded toast, breakfasts at The Granary Café are the perfect way for guests to start their day. Lunch and dinner's short but diverse menus incorporating contemporary interpretations of classics as well as some of executive chef Veronica Canha-Hibbert’s own creations such as the Prawn Tagliatelle, Cape Seafood Curry, and a Root Vegetable Terrine.

The Silo Rooftop

Poolside lounging is complemented with treats from the tempura bar, fresh oysters, pulled pork sandwiches, and a selection of healthy snacks from our raw bar. Enjoy a glass of bubbly, South African wine or a classic cocktail while you soak up the last of the day’s sunshine.

The Willaston Bar

The Willaston Bar is the perfect space in which to relax and offers a selection of classic bar snacks and small plates. Situated on the sixth floor of the hotel, The Willaston Bar is named after the first ship to export grain from the original silo complex back in 1924. With stunning views of Cape Town through the 5.5m high pillowed glass windows, there is no better place to enjoy a classic cocktail or a glass of wine from the carefully crafted and ever-evolving list of local and international wines. A light, a la carte breakfast is available from 8am until midday, as well as our fabulous Morning Tea, which includes a selection of sweet treats, scones, the cake of the day, savoury snacks, teas and coffees. We also serve a delicious cake of the day from 11am until 5pm.

The Silo Hotel brings a new dimension to dining in the city with The Silo's exclusive, glass-fronted private dining rooms. The Wisdom Room is a wonderful private dining room for up to 22 guests. The Wisdom Room was named after the last ship to ever take grain to Europe from the grain silo – MV Anangel Wisdom – in 1995.

The Vault is The Silo Hotel’s small and exclusive art gallery located in the private parking entrance on basement level P3. The concept behind The Vault was to make use of the unique space on the private parking level and to provide a link between the not-for-profit art featured in the museum and the local galleries in Cape Town. Each year, The Silo Hotel will work with a different local gallery and will showcase two exhibitions annually in The Vault. The purpose is to showcase established and up and coming African artists. All of the art displayed in The Vault will be for sale through the relevant gallery representing the artist.

Family Holidays at The Silo Hotel

There are four Family Suites in The Silo Hotel located on the four corners of seventh floor. Each is like a luxury two-bedroom apartment in the heart of Cape Town with a vast downstairs living room, dining room and cloakroom. Upstairs are two en-suite bedrooms – one master bedroom and one children’s bedroom. The Silo Hotel offers numerous activities for kids including a Tiny Tea while the V&A Waterfront itself is a paradise for children with a perfect mix of fun and educational pursuits including the Scratch Patch and Ripley’s Believe It Or Not.

This public, not-for-profit contemporary art museum collects, preserves, researches, and exhibits twenty-first century art from African and its Diaspora. A truly indulgent spa experience at The Silo Hotel in Cape Town's V&A Waterfront. The Silo Spa, located on the fourth floor of the hotel, has five treatment rooms, two of which can be made into a couple’s room.
