Daily itinerary

Welcome to Iceland! Your guide will greet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. Have the most wonderful culinary experience at the smallest restaurant in Iceland and stay overnight in Reykjavik or at Eldar private lodge.

Today you will leave Reykjavik and start your journey along the south coast of Iceland. Since there is a lot of ground to cover you will be travelling by helicopter so that you will be able to access the most remote places far from the other tourists. It will also give you an opportunity to see some of Iceland’s most beloved attractions which are too far away to be reached by car in one day. You will see several beautiful waterfalls, black lava beaches with amazing cliff formations. You will fly through beautiful canyons and into the highlands where you will experience complete remoteness and and perhaps get the opportunity to take a dip into a natural hot spring. You will land on a glacier where you will get geared up to go on a glacier walk and explore couple of magnificent hidden Ice caves. You’ll marvel at the magnificent colours and textures inside the ice cave, and the crazy shapes and crystal ice will leave you in awe. You will also fly to the glacier glacier lagoon, filled with icebergs from the glaciers above. You will board a Zodiac by the lagoon and go sailing between the Icebergs and towards the glacier. Today you will travel by car. You will visit Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO site, where the Icelandic parliament was established and where the north american and euroasian tectonic plates are slowly moving apart. The area is also famous for being a backdrop in the Games of Thrones as the show has been filmed on various locations all over Iceland. For the biggest Game of Thrones fans, the all Icelandic “Mountain” can accompany you on today's tour to truly make it an experience of a lifetime and a feeling you have stepped into another world. At Þingvellir lake you will meet with a divemaster that will get you suited and booted to snorkel or dive in Silfra. You will float between two continental plates, surrounded by the astonishing clarity of the water and the mesmerizing colors of this underwater world. Continue to neighbouring Geysir and Strokkur Iceland’s legendary geysers. See Gullfoss waterfall and experience its magnitude from the canyon below as you jet boat on the Hvítá river. Have a private dinner at the Greenhouse at Fridheimar tomato farm. some of Iceland’s best talent can be arranged for musical and theatrical performances over dinner. Take a short drive and board a RIB and jet out to the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago, located just off the south coast of Iceland. As you enter the archipelago you will explore the islands from sea, discovering their magnificent cliff formations and visit the puffins in their natural habitat. Disembark on Heimaey island and get acquainted with this small finishing town. Hike up Eldfell, the volcano which devastated the island only a few decades ago and visit the remembrance exhibition. Learn the traditional cliff rappelling, used to gather eggs from the cliffs. Enjoy an incredible dining experience with one of the top chefs in Iceland and learn about local ingredients and culinary traditions. Lunch can be served in a beautiful secret spot on the coast. Golfers are advised to make time for a round of golf at the island’s incredible golf course. Take the RIB boat back to the mainland with more optional adventures along the way. Fly over and hike around Glymur waterfall, the second-highest waterfall in Iceland. Fly further west to see markable sights including Eldborg, a slag crater whihc is around 200 meters wide and 50 meters deep. It is now protected by law and has been since 1974. Other Snæfellsnes highlights include Snæfellsnesjökull Glacier, the Saxhóll crater, Djúpalónssandur black lava beach, basalt cliffs and the famously beautiful area around Arnarstapi and Hellnar. You will be able to land and visit as many of these places as you’d like and its possible to arrange a portion of this tour by car. Finally, you will reach the summit of Snæfellsnesjökull Glacier, where you will have extraordinary views over the peninsula. Adventure seekers will be able to ski down the glacier as far as the conditions allow, even as late as into the midnight sun. Truly a spectacular opportunity to get acquainted with this fast shrinking glacier, famous as the entrance into the center of the earth. Fly or drive to Deplar Farm, a magnificent luxury adventure lodge located in the north of Iceland.

Today you can drive or hop back into the helicopter for a short transfer to Iceland’s best white rafting river, where you will embark on a private tour. On this rafting tour, you will ride through a majestic glacial canyon while taking in the north's unique scenic landscape. During the river trip, you will stop at one of the many geothermal hot springs to enjoy the steam, warm up, and relax as your rafting guide makes some hot chocolate by the river. If you are feeling brave, there is also an option to do some cliff jumping. Have a chef made pic-nic by the river before returning to Deplar Farm to enjoy the impressive facilities. Lodge activities include skeet shooting, paddle boarding, fat biking, horseback riding, surfing, or kayaking. You will also have massage therapists at hand for those who want to rewind for the afternoon, and the others can have a pool party by the swim-up bar. Overnight at Deplar Farm.

Today you will hop on a short flight back to the capital area to stay at your third and last hotel, the new Retreat hotel at the Blue Lagoon. On the way you will stop for the most incredible experience. You will visit the magma chamber of Þríhnjúkagígur volcano the only magma chamber accessible to men in the world. You start with a light hike, approx. 2 miles up to Þrihnjukagigur where you will be lowered into the volcano's magma chamber. The volcanic chamber is the size of a football field and is so tall that you could fit the statue of liberty in it! You will try some local Icelandic meat soup and other delicacies before leaving the volcano area. It is also possible to arrange a part of this tour to be done on mountain or fat bikes. After this extraordinary experience you will check into the Retreat hotel at the Blue Lagoon, which is one of the top wellness hotels in the world. Today you will have a chance to explore the Reykjanes peninsula around the Blue Lagoon. Your guide will take you to the Seltún geothermal area. Where solfataras, fumaroles , mud pots, and hot springs have formed, the soil is colored bright yellow, red, and green hues. Just a little further is lake Kleifarvatn and its epic landscape. You will also see Gunnuhver mudpot, Reykjanesviti lighthouse, and beautiful cliff formatons. You will embark on an exciting buggy or ATV tour through paths that run through various lava-fields. This old harbor is now a recreational area with dramatic shipwrecks and over hundred-year-old foundations that remain unspoiled and protected for a reminder of the old life. The tour takes you through rocky mountain paths towards the summit Mt.Hagafell where you will have a 360’ panoramic view over Reykjanes, where you’ll be able to see the Blue Lagoon and volcanic craters.
