After a decadent breakfast, you will be collected by an English-speaking guide at 08H00 for a full day tour of Table Mountain and Cape Point.

CAPE POINT AND TABLE MOUNTAIN TOUR – FULL DAY

Highlights

  • Ride the revolving cable car for bird’s-eye views of Cape Town and the Peninsula from the top of the iconic Table Mountain (weather dependent).
  • Travel through many famous coastal suburbs of the Cape and traverse one of the world’s most spectacular passes–Chapman’s Peak.
  • Catch a glimpse of Southern right whale (seasonal) off the Cape’s longest beach.
  • Spot wildlife in the Table Mountain National Park, and explore the rocky coastline, the Cape fynbos vegetation and the south-westernmost point of Africa – Cape Point – and its lighthouse.
  • Visit the African penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
  • Lunch at an a la carte coastal restaurant. (Drinks excluded)

The first stop (weather dependent) is Table Mountain’s Lower Cableway Station, for a 5-minute revolving cable car ride to the top. 1,067m above sea level, Table Mountain affords bird’s-eye views of both the city and Peninsula, as you explore its summit.

Descend and depart the city along the Atlantic seaboard, past the coastal suburbs of Clifton, Camps Bay, Bakoven and Llandudno and on to the fishing village of Hout Bay. Navigate the 114 curves of 600m high Chapman’s Peak Drive, one of the world’s most spectacular passes, past the Cape’s longest beach near Noordhoek and the coastal hamlets of Kommetjie and Scarborough – with a chance of seeing Southern right whales offshore from June - November!

After lunch at a popular coastal restaurant, we enter the Cape of Good Hope section of the Table Mountain National Park with its unique Cape fynbos vegetation and home to birds like African black oystercatchers and Cape sugarbirds as well as to very special fauna including Cape mountain zebra, bontebok (both endemic) and the charismatic Cape baboon.

Climb (or ride the world’s first environmentally friendly funicular) to Cape Point Lighthouse, to capture the magical vistas of False Bay, and stop at the south-westernmost point of Africa: breath-taking Cape Point.

Drive on to Boulders Beach for a close-up encounter with a colony of African penguins, before heading home through the naval village of Simonstown and over Boyes Drive, taking in views of the fishing harbour at Kalk Bay and the seaside hamlets of St. James and Muizenberg.

After your tour, you will be taken back to your hotel where you can enjoy the evening at leisure.

Our nature dives include swimming through kelp forests surrounded by many species of fish, seeing the myriad of bright colours on display from the large nudibranch colonies (soft-bodied marine mollusc), and not to mention the wide variety of stingrays, mussels, sponges and jellyfish.

The dives explore some of the best spots that the Cape has to offer and makes for an excellent adventure. Below you will find some of our most popular nature dives.

Highlights

  • • Explore Africa’s oldest wine producing region, only 20 minutes’ drive from Cape Town.
  • • Absorb the spectacular scenery of the Constantiaberg Mountains.

We depart from Cape Town and head south along the Peninsula towards Constantia, where we enjoy a tour of the famous Constantia Wine Ward.

The historic valley, with vineyards clinging to the eastern slopes of the Constantiaberg Mountains, was home to 17th century Dutch governor, Simon van der Stel’s wine farm. Its legendary dessert wines graced the tables of the European monarchy in the 18th century.

There are now numerous cellars in this premier ward, and we will taste wines at some of these estates, which continue the tradition of producing wines from classic European noble varieties. The area is celebrated for its Sauvignon Blancs, Semillons and Chardonnays, from the Steenberg, Constantia Uitsig and Buitenverwachting estates. However, wonderful Merlots, Cabernet, Shiraz and red blends in classic Bordeaux styles are also made at Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia and High Constantia, but the area’s famed signature wine is still the exquisite Vin de Constance from Klein Constantia.

After your tour, you will be taken back to your hotel where you can enjoy the evening at leisure.

Daily Itinerary

DAY 01 I CAPE TOWN

Welcome to South Africa! You will arrive on your flight into Cape Town International Airport. A handler will assist you through luggage collection and immigrations. After passing through passport control and collecting your luggage, you will be met by an English-speaking driver who will welcome you and escort you to your transfer vehicle. You will be transferred to your hotel – One&Only Cape Town where you will stay for three nights.

Set in the vibrant heart of Cape Town’s waterfront, surrounded by restaurants, shopping, art and entertainment; on the doorstep of Table Mountain; and within easy reach of spectacular beaches, national parks, and Winelands, One&Only Cape Town is a tranquil enclave surrounded by mesmerising waterways and a traditional harbour. Guests can choose between spectacular balcony views of Table Mountain or of the resort’s private Marina and waterways, from the largest hotel rooms in Cape Town. The One&Only Cape Town's curated selection of restaurants and bars sparkle with unmistakable vibrancy. Guests can savour exceptional cuisine and rare wines in the most stylish spaces in town.

You will be assisted to check-in after which you will enjoy the day at leisure.

DAY 02 I CAPE TOWN

DAY 03 I CAPE TOWN

After an early breakfast, you will b collected at 07H30 by an English-speaking guide for a transfer to Simon’s Town for your scuba diving experience.

NATURE/REEF DIVES CAPE TOWN

Nature scuba diving (or reef dives) in Cape Town is ideal for those starting out in scuba diving. Typically, these dives only require Open Water certification. With our reef dives you get the opportunity to explore the wonders of Cape Town’s oceans.

Notes:

  • • Meet up at the dive shop at about 8/9am in the morning and we will either dive Ouderkraal, Hout Bay, or Simons Town (depending where conditions look great best)
  • • Dive between 45- 60mins and do two dives a day.
  • • Dive packages include the two dives, full equipment rental, transport from our dive shop and a diving (MPA) permit

After your scuba diving experience, your guide will take you for a short wine tasting experience.

CONSTANTIA WINELANDS TOUR – HALF DAY

Highlights

  • • Visit wine estates according to your preferences.

DAY 04 I SABI SANDS GAME RESERVE

Today your next adventure awaits. You will be collected at 05H30 by an English-speaking driver for a transfer to Cape Town International Airport. Not to worry, you will have a breakfast box given to you when you check-out. You will be assisted to check-in for your flight to Johannesburg (suggested flight BA6428) departing at 07H30.

Upon arrival into OR Tambo International Airport, you will be met by a handler from Federal Air for a transfer to the Federal Air Lounge, or a Classic Perspective representative if you wish to fly private. You will check in for your flight to Sabi Sabi.

Upon arrival onto the Sabi Sabi airstrip, you will be met by an English-speaking ranger who will transfer you along with other guests to your lodge where you will stay for three nights.

Londolozi is one of South Africa’s original private game reserves. A pillar of global ecotourism and a proud family-run business for nearly 100 years, Londolozi is a beacon of light for many. With its subtle elegance and classic safari style, the 5-star lodge is an oasis of peace and tranquillity.

Children over the age of six are welcome at Varty Camp and with some of the chalets inter-leading, Varty Camp is perfect for families. Each room has its own private swimming pool, outdoor shower and outdoor dining sala, framed by timber decks raised off the ground under the shade of an ancient riverine forest.

Many guest activities can be found within the surrounds of Varty Camp. These include the Guest Gym, Photographic Studio and Living Boutique as well as the restorative Healing House. The charming “original Sparta Camp” located in the heart of Varty Camp, represents generations of history which echoes a bygone era before Londolozi existed.
